The Treasure Trove

A new project from Gold lark Jewellery in collaboration with the Saltaire Arts Trail 2026

Gold Lark Jewellery is inviting YOU to be part of a special community exhibition for the Saltaire Arts Trail this May.

We’re asking artists, makers, and curious creatives of all ages to create a miniature “treasure shrine” — a small diorama inside a box (max 20cm x 20cm) that explores one simple idea:

What is precious to you?

This isn’t about expensive materials — it’s about meaning. Think found objects, childlike wonder, collage, Saltaire history, fragments of memory, photographs, or everyday items that tell a story

This project will launch as a part of Saltaire Arts Trail the weekend of May 2nd – 4th and the exhibition will continue to be on display for the duration of May 2nd – 30th.

Participants might include found objects, fragments of images, small drawings, natural materials, or miniature sculptures. The aim is to create a shrine to something personally precious, whether that’s a memory, something from history, an obsession, a collection, or a small detail from daily life.

Please also include a short statement about the piece to display alongside the work. Approx 100-140 words.

Deadline to take part: April 16th

Whether you’re a practising artist or just feeling inspired, we’d love to include your voice in this collective “cabinet of curiosities.”
